About ZetTrans
Regional Transport Partnerships (RTPs) are statutory bodies responsible for bringing together key stakeholders in transport planning in an area to produce and deliver strategies which improve and enhance transport and travel.
ZetTrans is one of seven Regional Transport Partnerships (RTPs) within Scotland, formally established on 1st December 2005.
RTPs began to take on their powers in April 2006 and will improve regional transport through:
- Provision of a more strategic approach to planning and delivery
- Building on existing joint working relationships
- Working in partnership with the new national transport agency
- Bringing together local authorities and principal stakeholders
